THE SOUL.

Previous
The soul is like unto a mighty ocean
In unfathomable sublimity;
In calm, or storm, or wild commotion,
And is measured but by eternity.
The body, its fitting earthly receptacle,
Must perish and dissolve beneath the sod;
It hath but a span to bloom and to fade,
But the soul is co-existent with God.
