“A Castilla y Á Leon Nuevo mundo diÓ Colon,”— (“To Castile and Leon Columbus gave a new world,”)— but part of a Latin inscription, to the same effect, on a mural tablet in the Cathedral at Havana, the last resting-place of the remains of the great navigator:— “Claris. heros Ligustin.
