The compilation committee appointed at the First Annual Congress of the I. O. A. has begun work and expects, by the time of the Second Congress, to be held next summer, to make a good showing on a report which is to be, if possible, a complete “Annotated List of the Birds of Iowa.” In order to make this list as comprehensive as possible, it is earnestly requested that every member send to the chairman of the compilation committee a marked check list showing every species on which he can furnish original, authentic Iowa notes.
