The Petroleum Import Trade of the United Kingdom The imports of petroleum products into the United Kingdom for the past seven years are given in the following table. The officially recorded output goes back as far as 1857, when the twelve months’ yield was just under 2,000 barrels. During 1861, the production passed the 10,000 barrel mark for the first time, and six years later reached 50,000 barrels for the year.
