(circa 1555), and the scene of the Chancery case of Jarndyce v. Jarndyce in ‘Bleak House.’ Beyond the Hall are the red roofs of Old Square, and in the distance the domes of the Central Criminal Court and St. Paul’s, the latter appearing over a portion of the buildings of the Record Office.
