Although most printer's errors have been retained, some have been silently corrected. Some spelling and punctuation, capitalization, accents and formatting markup have been normalized, e.g. in the index the word Corncake is now Corncrake.
Paragraphs that were split by an illustration in the original publication, have been rejoined.
