Materials Required:
AMERICAN THREAD “DAWN” KNITTING WORSTED
1—3½ oz. skein Rainbow or Autumn Sunset for Hat
3—3½ oz. skeins Rainbow or Autumn Sunset for Scarf
1 Pr. Knitting Needles No. 9 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW
GAUGE: 9 sts = 2 in.

HAT

Cast on 78 sts and work in garter st (K each row) for 11½ inches. NEXT ROW: K 3 tog across row, cut yarn leaving a length, thread into a blunt needle and draw sts tog, fasten securely. Weave seam.

SCARF

(Approximate length 72 inches.) (NOTE: When tying in 2nd and 3rd skeins, attach with same color rotation as ended; also if there is a knot in skein, cut away yarn until same place in color rotation to maintain even color rotation.) Cast on 40 sts and work in garter st until 3 skeins are used or if desired shorter length, bind off.
